Document Management System

A document management platform for government institutions, where every document has an owner, a state and a history. I work on it as part of the Comtrade System Integration team. The client and internal details stay confidential.

01

Context

Sensitive documents move through drafting, review, approval and archiving. Each step needs the right permissions, a clear state and an audit trail that holds up later. The platform is built on Alfresco, with custom Java services around it.

02

What I work on

I build Java/Spring Boot REST components for the document lifecycle and metadata workflows, and I contributed to architecture decisions and key features. A large part of the job is clarifying requirements with business teams before anything is built, then turning them into process flows, API and data decisions and acceptance criteria.

03

Reliability

I refactored legacy modules with recurring production issues, introducing consistent logging and error handling to reduce incident triage time. I also lead debugging of urgent issues across the frontend, backend and DMS integration layers.
