About

Hi, I'm Ivan.

I work on what a product should do, how it should work and how to build it.

I've worked in business software since 2018, across Java development, .NET, automation and technical consulting. That includes document management, e-invoicing and the integrations between business systems. I currently work as a software engineer at Comtrade System Integration.

My focus has broadened to the whole product: understanding the problem, deciding what belongs in the first version, and working out how the user experience and the underlying systems fit together. On Safe Space, that included user journeys, content and visual identity as well as the website. On Tripollon, it includes agency interviews, MVP scope and development.

I take on project-based consulting in product development, business process improvement and AI adoption. This includes automating workflows and introducing AI tools into a company's day-to-day work.

How I work

  1. 01

    Requirements before code

Start with the people using the product and the problem they need it to solve.

  2. 02

    A focused first version

Decide what is needed now and what can wait, so the scope stays useful and manageable.

  3. 03

    Connected decisions

Consider user flows, data and integrations together when choosing how a feature should work.

  4. 04

    Practical implementation

Use the requirements to guide development and work through the details as the product takes shape.

Technical direction for AI-assisted development

AI agents can work across many tasks and approach the same problem in different ways. My role is to give that work a clear structure: define the goal, provide context, choose an approach that fits the product and guide implementation.

I bring a software engineering background to decisions about structure, data, integrations and maintainability. The goal is software that solves the business problem and is straightforward to understand, maintain and extend.
